On March 21, 2025, the “Window to the World” International Education Fair was successfully convened at Xiamen University’s Siming Campus. Designed to broaden students’ global horizons and empower those with overseas study ambitions, the event provided crucial resources for crafting effective university selection strategies and boosting comprehensive competitiveness.

Organized by the University’s Student Affairs Office and hosted by the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures (CFLC), the fair attracted a significant turnout from the student body. The event was graced by the presence of senior leadership, including University Council Vice Chairman Sun Li, who received a detailed briefing from Professor Chen Jing, Dean of the host college, on the fair’s organization before touring the exhibition booths.
The fair boasted an impressive roster of participating institutions, featuring world-renowned universities such as the Johns Hopkins University, National University of Singapore, Cardiff University, and Heidelberg University, covering key destinations like the US, UK, and Singapore. Leading educational agencies, including New Channel and New Oriental, were also in attendance.

The exhibition floor was marked by a dynamic and engaging atmosphere. It offered diverse activities, from university introductions and admissions policy analyses to application process guidance. A highlight was the specially arranged one-on-one consultation desks, where seasoned advisors provided personalized answers to students' pressing questions. These ranged from navigating the dynamic landscape of international education and formulating personalized study abroad plans to understanding scholarship applications and the long-term career impact of an overseas degree.

Looking forward, CFLC has committed to further leveraging its disciplinary strengths to elevate its study-abroad advisory services, continuing to deliver diverse and student-centric activities to cultivate a new generation of globally-minded youth.
